Biographical / Historical
The Lutheran Theological Study Group was established in 1945 and functioned until 1965. Its purpose was to “provide fellowship and mutual stimulation by purposive study and free discussion in order that the ministry of each may be enriched and that they themselves may be better servants of the Church and her Lord.” (Box 1 folder 1.) The group accepted papers and held annual meetings and seminars across the United States.

Custodial History
This collection was donated by Norman Jay Gould Wickey, secretary of the Lutheran Theological Study Group. Wickey resigned as secretary in 1961.
