This collection documents the activities of the Rev. Dr. Frederick K. Wentz, particularly his career in ministry from ordination in 1945 to death in 2014.

General
In 1987, the Rev. Dr. Wentz returned to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, for an active retirement. Through membership with various boards and historical societies he participated in anniversary celebrations of Muhlenberg and Schmucker. He authored a biography of his father, A.R. Wentz, and edited a collection of biographical essays on key figures in the history of Gettysburg Seminary. He was an active member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church (Subseries 2) and was influential in the organization of the Historic Church Walking Tour (Subseries 1). He was also a vocal opponent of the building of a casino near Gettysburg. Alongside all this activity, he continued to preach and teach.
