Scope and Contents

This series contains typed diary transcripts and carbon copies with separate transcriptions dedicated to the Muhlenberg Mission in Liberia. Transcripts were created by Mrs. Robert Pfaff and Mrs. Edward Koski under the direction Rev. Luther W. Slifer in 1949. There are also transcription notes in box 1 folders 2 and 5 along with correspondence from Herbert H. Schmidt, A.R. Wentz Librarian, relating to the “microfilm program of the Lutheran Historical Conference” (located in folder 5). Folder 1 contains correspondence relating to the collection that provides information on the collection’s provenance.
