Luther Alexander Gotwald Jr. was born February 9, 1927 in Chirala, India, son of the late Ethel Bare Gotwald and Luther Alexander Gotwald, Sr. Luther was a graduate of Gettysburg College and Seminary. He shared his ministry in acts of faith and service as Pastor in Point Township, Northumberland, PA from 1950-1957, St. Marks, Emigsville, PA from 1957-1965, and St. David's, Davidsville, PA from 1965-1988. Luther also served as Assistant to the Bishop of Allegheny Synod from 1988-1992.He died in Johnstown, PA, on October 12, 2018, age 91.
