Biographical / Historical

Rev. Paul Gladfelter was born in Glen Rock, PA on January 16, 1882, the son of Henry and Amanda (Caslow) Gladfelter. He attended Gettysburg College (1904) and Gettysburg Seminary (1907). He was licensed by the West PA Synod in 1906 and ordained in 1907. He served as pastor of Green Hill PA (1907-1910), York Springs, PA (1910-1920), Abbottstown-East Berlin charge (1920-1938). He retired in 1938 and served as a supply pastor in Arendtsville from 1942-45. He married Amy Blanche Bailey on June 18, 1907 and had a daughter Marguerite. Gladfelter died on January 24, 1959.
