Biographical / Historical

Rev. William Goepfert Mennig was a Lutheran clergyman in Pennsylvania. He was born in Annville, PA on Feb 16, 1811, the son of George P. and Elizabeth (Goepfert) Mennig. He attended Gettysburg Seminary and was licensed by the Pennsylvania Ministerium in 1836 and ordained in 1838. He served as Pastor in Pottsville (1836-59), St. Paul's Allentown (1959-1877), and supplied Foglesville and Macungie. He died July 15, 1887.
