This collection is comprised records originating from closed Lutheran congregations in the Region 8 region of Pennsylvania. A few records come from congregations that are still active. Records include parish registers, congregation and council minutes, financial records, sunday school records, membership lists, blueprints, and photos.

This collection contains the papers relating to Gretchen Cranz’s project and paper entitled “A Climate is Created Within Seminaries Which Supports the Acceptance of Women Theological Students or A History of Women at Gettysburg” written in 1973. It includes the final draft and research materials such as statistics, questionnaires, faculty interview samples, and meeting minutes.
